Did you know that sunlight could actually bring down the risks of heart diseases? When there is a lot of vitamin D in the blood levels, the risks of contracting any form of heart diseases is low, says a source. Specialists dappling with cardiology also opine the same and more research is on to know whether sunlight actually helps patients lower the risks of heart related issues or not, say experts.

According to various experts, a study was made on more than nine thousand people. These were men and women, just like you and me, but those who were diagnosed as patients who didn't have enough of vitamin D in them. Some patients in the category of diagnosis were those who had opted for vitamin D testing much later as well, says a source. It was seen that around half the patients who were studied on, had normal levels of vitamin D in them for healthy needs. Sources say that around thirty nano grams per milliliter was found in them when another round of tests was performed on them. For this group the risks of contracting the heart risks were any day lower than those who still didn't have enough of vitamin D flowing through their blood streams, say experts.

In fact, earlier archives and records have shown that there is indeed a correlation between sunlight that gives vitamin D and the risks of contracting heart diseases, say doctors. However, even today it is not clearly shown and determined if the connection between the two actually exists or not. Sources from the medical world say, the lower amounts off vitamin D in the body can happen due to various other reasons and can be in relation to other risk factors as well, for example a person's poor body health or maybe even lack of exercises as well, say experts.

Experiments would be needed to know if the correlation actually exists r not. For example, they should use half the patients suffering from vitamin D deficiency with supplements while the rest can live on placebo modes, say sources. Since the lower amounts of vitamin D is shown to have increased the risks of contracting heart diseases and other ailments, conducting research and studies for the same according to many is just a waste of time and not ethical, say doctors.

Such experiments according to some specialists would not be definitive but observational, say doctors. However they don't deny the fact that such studies can actually help in finding out the correlation between vitamin D deficiency and the risks of heart diseases as well. Research specialists are still studying to know if vitamin D would actually be needed in abundance to curb the menace of increased heart diseases across the globe.
